About Our Horses

Our horses are more than just our employees, they're the backbone of our company and more importantly, they're family. That's why we believe in only giving them the best of care. They work only 4-6 hours a day, four days a week, get "pedicures" every 3-4 weeks, and receive regular vet check-ups. They're grained twice daily and given choice hay in addition to having free-range in our 35-acre pasture. Our horses are both our best friends and family members, and they're the best part of our daily lives. We welcome visits from potential clients to meet our horses and even allow them to take a complementary carriage ride to get to know the horses better.

Drivers: Beautiful Betty

Betty is a dark brown/black Percheron with a kiss of white on her face. She is an extremely seasoned horse with years of experience working and was Amish trained, working in fields as a young girl. She matured into working the very busy Chicago streets giving tours and worked in an Illonois zoo pulling hay rides.

Now she has decided to semi- retire in sunny Florida -- having so much fun bringing beautiful brides to their groom and other special events. She enjoys spending her free time roaming the 35 acre ranch of long, luscious hay fields that she calls home at the Horse Drawn Dreams ranch in Martin County, Florida.

Mack & Murtaugh

This pair of inseparable young boys are the best match at our ranch, for they both look and act exactly the same. Wherever one is, the other is right there! They are both two Registered Haflinger Ponies and have beautiful blonde bodies and long platinum blonde manes and tails. They have been together their whole life, spending their young days working in Wisconsin on a farm doing special events like weddings and parades.

They decided they wanted to escape the cold weather and came to Florida to work and enjoy the rest of their life in the sun. In their free-time, they love to frolicking in the pond and roll in our tall hay fields.

Ember

Ember is a young Black Percheron Cross that is sure to follow in the other horses' footsteps as a lead horse. With Betty's same rich color and gentle demeanor, she's been trained and building up her confidence rather quickly, working towards the goal of driving for events and parades.

She was a PMU rescue from Pure Thoughts Horse Rescue in Wellington, Florida that has proven to be a strong, confident and diligent horse. We hope to have her ready for special event work by 2009, but until then she'll just keep "studying" and working hard!

Other family members: Oscar

Oscar is a solid black miniature horse/pony and a true "Black Beauty". He is a National Driving Champion in Pleasure Competitions but is now strictly a play horse and not for hire. However, since he's part of the family we feel he should be introduced! He tries to be a strong and sturdy horse, and loves to drive and have fun...but his favorite past time is following Ember around and mimicking her. The two are a match made in heaven.

Paco & Belle

Not to be confused with a certain "Taco Bell," Paco & Belle are our two miniature donkeys that act as our companions as well as the watch-dogs of the ranch. No outside dogs or unwanted wildlife come into the area with these two on patrol! They both also drive in addition to the horses, although they would much rather watch from the sidelines and let the big guys do the work. As our resident greeters, this pair stays front & center and is sure to be the first to greet any visitors to the ranch.
